Mozart Sonata in C

Kevinwood's Musical Director, and the HSA Handbell Editor, Suzanne Maslen obtained her early musical training in Western Australia, concentrating on solo piano and small ensemble playing until she moved to Sydney in 1963, when she became involved with choral and orchestral conducting.   As pianist she performed concertos with the Western Australian, Sydney and Queensland Symphony Orchestras. In 1976 she founded the Kevinwood Orchestra and took it overseas in 1985 - the start of a long and broad association with music in the Ryde area - where , in addition to the Kevinwood Bells, she runs a number of choirs, the annual Festival of St Cecilia at St. Kevins Eastwood and is the Instrumental Convenor of Ryde Eisteddfod.

In her duo role as UTS physicist Suzanne Hogg and Eastwood musician Suzanne Maslen she was awarded the OAM in 2003 for "service to the community through music, and to physics education".

Kevinwood is the name of the musical groups based at St Kevins Church, Eastwood.

Key activity is the Festival of St. Cecilia, held annually on the Feast of Christ the King, the Sunday closest to the Feast of St. Cecilia (22nd November)

All musical groups take part in community events throughout Sydney and enjoy occasional trips to country events. The Kevinwood Bells are active participants in Australasian symposium of the Handbells Society of Australasia and have represented Australia at World events.
